I AM HAPPY
This city would have seen you dead, but I will have it your home, and every soul who wishes you harm will be struck down, just as sure as my blood runs in your veins. You will return to me.
So… are we ignoring the fact that Klaus’ words are crafted with just about enough cleverness to make it seem they extend to Rebekah as well?
hey brother, there's an endless road to rediscover
Hayley Marshall in “From a Cradle to a Grave”
When you have a deadline, the best way to procrastinate is baby names, and I didn’t hear Hope as a pitch until I read it in the script. And it made me cry, and I thought, “Well, it’s either the cheesiest thing in the world or it’s the most beautiful thing in the world, and because I’m crying, it’s probably both, but I’m going to go for it.” So that was Diane Ademu-John, who wrote the script, that was a beautiful little surprise she peppered in there.

KLAUS: Hush now. It’s just a storm. Don’t be afraid. I won’t let it hurt you.
REBEKAH: Nik, don’t go.
KLAUS: I carved it for father. It’s a brave knight. Now you can be brave, too.
REBEKAH: Will you stay with me ‘til the storm ends?
KLAUS: I will a l w a y s stay with you, Rebekah. No matter what.
Did NO ONE notice that Hope had blue eyes?
We knew from the beginning that we most likely losing Claire [Holt] about three-quarters of the way through the season, so when we were planning what would happen with the baby, it was very clear that that was the way [it should end]. It would be a beautiful resolution for both Rebekah’s character and Hope’s character, giving Rebekah in essence exactly what she said she wanted when she walked of the cemetery for the last time. She said she wanted to live and she wanted a family and the human experience, and now she gets to have it.
